Who this covers

This draft describes the Birthdays iOS app (com.onwen.birthday). Birthdays is a private birthday-card companion. It is not a social network and has no friends list, feed, comments, messaging, or public directory.

Service providers

Apple — Sign in with Apple (may provide a private-relay email).
Supabase — authentication, database, and private cover-image storage for Birthday staging (production may later use OnWen’s existing project).
Amazon, Cash App, and Venmo — independent third parties opened externally; their policies apply when you leave Birthdays.

Information we collect (when signed in)

Apple / Supabase account identifiers
Email (may be Apple private relay) and display name
Birthday month/day, optional year and hide-year preference
Card message, cover image, optional Amazon Wishlist HTTPS URL
Optional Cash App / Venmo handles you type
Card visibility preference (currently enforced owner-only on the server)

On device with permission: write-only calendar event on Add to Calendar; photo picker for cover (not full library access).

What we do not collect

Shipping addresses; payment-card/bank credentials; Amazon passwords or order history; advertising identifiers for tracking.

Sharing and retention

We do not sell personal information. Service providers process data for hosting and auth. Account data is kept while the Birthday account exists. Deleting the Birthday account removes live Birthday cards, wishlist records, cover images, and the Birthday auth user. It does not delete a separate OnWen account. Backup retention language: DRAFT — LEGAL REVIEW REQUIRED.

Children

Not directed to children under 13 and not Made for Kids. Age eligibility: DRAFT — LEGAL REVIEW REQUIRED.
